Note the Bowler hats!
Very traditional headwear for all the Quechua women.

The Incan temple ruins at Pisac, high above the village. Some of the finest stonework outside of Machu Picchu.

The train to Machu Picchu.

This is at the Ollantaytambo station, headed for Aguas Calientes.

The town of Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu, in the edge of the jungle.

Machu Picchu - the classic view from the guardhouse ridge. Huyanu Picchu peak in the background, has more temples on top of it.

Machu Picchu - a resident llama peeks out from the ruined city.

Machu Picchu from the summit of Huyanu Picchu peak. This is a very steep and difficult climb.

How did the Incas get the huge stones up this mountain and do their wonderful masonry work on such a steep and inaccessible place??

Machu Picchu - the famous Intiwatana stone, called the "Hitching Post of the Sun". This was the most sacred place in Machu Picchu.

Well, that's just a select few of the 2,000 photos I took in Peru!

I hope you enjoyed them!
