The music for Big Bend - a Landscape Romance was written and performed at Jaguar Feather Studios, David Crews's music studio in Austin, Texas. At times, the music represents a virtual orchestra of up to 150 players along with ethnic instruments and synthesis. Crews uses Apple's Logic7Pro sequencing and synthesizer/sampler program along with EWQL's Gold Symphony and Ethnoworld2 virtual instrument collections, among other musical sources. The original music score for "Big Bend - A Landscape Romance" has won two international awards: The "Calypso Award" from the Moondance International Film Festival, and The "Silver Telly" Award. |

Crews has been a musician all his life, and has been working with electronic music production since he bought his first synthesizer in 1974 (a Mini-Moog, which he still owns). He has released two albums of ambient and orchestral music. Today's modern computerized music production systems are incredibly powerful, allowing a composer/performer to arrange and record with virtual instruments of any kind and especially with a virtual full symphony orchestra that is difficult to distinguish from a traditional one.
